I truly hoped to share this with you in person and of course, before you heard it from anyone else, but maybe this will help to explain my current condition and decision:

Have you ever felt like you were going on a road trip for the day on an empty tank. You are super excited about the trip, but know that you don’t have the physical resources for the journey. No matter how capable the car is and how well prepared you are for journey without gas you will eventually find yourself on the side of the road.

I have unfortunately being dealing with an empty tank, when it comes to sleep and physical energy for a very long time. I currently find myself on the side of the road, wanting to finish the exciting trip and thoroughly frustrated and exhausted by the lack of fuel. Most days I feel like I’m trying to push the car down the road to the next destination. Sometimes a kind and loving soul helps me along the way. The Lord has been so good in this season to strengthen me in specific moments supernaturally, to see me through, and I am so grateful. I have thoroughly counted on His promises, especially His new mercy, each and every day.

I have found myself yet again in a side of the road moment, especially after our busy Easter season, which was such a wonderful blessing. This exhausting cycle that has endured for almost 2 years and has left me severely depleted. So now, with a heavy heart and a saddened spirit, after almost 4 and a half months since my retirement announcement and countless attempts to persevere and continue in what I believe I was made for, I unfortunately need to surrender.

Believing that Love never met a lost cause! I am extremely hopeful for the Lord’s next chapter. It has absolutely been a pleasure to serve this community for over 26 years in ministry. I truly treasure and love each member of our church family and thank the Lord for every moment we have shared together.
