Mrs. Sheba Munroe’s passion is to help children understand what it means to have a real relationship with Jesus Christ. Once they get that, parents, look out!
Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” That’s a promise that God always finishes what he starts.
Our Mission Statement explains it well: We, New Creations Children’s Ministry, are here to SHARE God’s story, LOVE each other, TRAIN children to follow Jesus and GIVE from our hearts because we want to PRAISE God.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
My passion is for God to make New Creations!!!
We welcome children 2-years-old through 5th grade to join us for the Gospel Project for Kids, which is the curriculum we use during Children’s Church. This is a Christ-centered Bible study that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events—presenting the story of redemption through Jesus like kids have never seen it before! Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, fun activities, and more.
Parents and guardians sign-in and out their children K—5 grade in the Fellowship Hall from 10:20a.m. -10:30a.m. Children 2-5 year-olds are signed-in and out from the Argonauta School House, which is located across the alley where the white fencing is. For the safety of your children, please be sure to sign-in and out your child(ren).
Nursery is available every Sunday for infants through one year of age. Nursery signs in and out directly from the nursery, which is located near the entrance of the Worship Center. Nursery is available by 10:15a.m.
Friday Night: AWANA
Awana is when New Creations Children’s’ Ministry offers parents of children 3 years old through 6th grade a couple of hours for themselves! Parents drop off their children on Fridays at 6:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall and pick them up at 8:30 p.m. AWANA is an internationally known Bible club for children ages 3 through 5th grade: Cubbies: Ages 3-5 (Children must be potty trained), Sparks: Grades K-2, and Truth & Training (T & T) : Grades 3-5. The letters in AWANA stand for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, which comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. The program is designed to encourage scripture memory.
During each AWANA meeting, we will teach children that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through His Son, Jesus Christ. Children will also learn how God can help them in their daily lives. Bible-based lessons will teach them how to obey God in a complex world. The goal of AWANA is to give boys and girls the chance to know, love, and serve God. The club consists of a weekly lesson, awards for scripture memory, and lots of FUN. We’re so excited about the team the Lord has brought together to serve our families for the 2018-2019 school year. Please click here to register. If you are registering more than three children you will need this additional form here to register them. We look forward to your family participating in AWANA !
2 Timothy 2:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
