Attitude of Gratitude
Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 4:2 ESV
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
- Thanksgiving and gratitude to God our Father should mark our prayers.
- What are you thankful to God our Father for?

Philemon 1:4-6 ESV
I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, 5 because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints
1 Thessalonians 1:2 ESV
We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers

- There were Levites who were in charge of songs of thanksgiving – Neh. 12:8
- King David called for thanksgiving:

Then on that day David first appointed that thanksgiving be sung to the LORD by Asaph and his brothers. 8 Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! 9 Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! 10 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! 11 Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! 12 Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles and the judgments he uttered

Ephesians 5:4 ESV
Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.
Colossians 3:16-17 ESV
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Luke 17:11-19 ESV
On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance 13 and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” 14 When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. 15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; 16 and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”
- Faith honors God and God honors faith!
- Making a blessing list regularly.
- Rather than fists to heaven give God your palms of praise!
Prayer – Colossians 1:9-14 ESV
“I pray that Faith family may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of who You are. 11 Lord please strengthen us with all power, according to Your glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, 12 giving thanks to You Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. 13 Father You have delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of Your beloved Son 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
